What goes in a ticket count email?

A ticket count email gives everyone on a show the same numbers: the time of the count, tickets sold against capacity, the change since the last count, comps and holds on their own lines, and tickets sold by type. The generator lays these out the same way every time.

Time of the count
On an on-sale day the count can change by the hour. The time tells the reader which number they are looking at.
Sold of capacity
The headline: tickets sold against the cap, with the sell-through percentage.
Change since last count
The pace. Enter what was sold at the last count and the email shows the difference.
Comps and holds
Kept on their own lines, never added into sold, so nobody mistakes guest list for sales.
By ticket type
Shows which price levels are moving and which are sold out.
Remaining
Capacity minus sold, comps and holds: what is still available to sell.

Questions

What should a ticket count email include?

The time of the count, tickets sold against capacity, the change since the last count, comps and holds on their own lines, and tickets sold by type. Add what marketing ran and when the next count comes.

Ticket count email templates

What subject line should a ticket count email use?

Put the show and the count in the subject, for example "Marrow Creek · 412 sold (+38)". Someone scanning an inbox of counts reads the subject first.

Can ticket count emails be sent automatically?

Yes. TicketCounts.io connects to Eventbrite and Universe and emails scheduled, branded ticket-count reports to promoters, venues, artists and booking agents. Every new account starts with 14 days of Pro, no card needed; after that the Free plan keeps 1 active event report running.
